Refund and Returns Policy
At Perlugap, we craft natural solid-wood furniture and stand behind every piece. If something isn’t right, this policy explains how we’ll make it right. These terms apply to orders delivered in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, Spain, Canada, Italy, Belgium, and Portugal.
Policy Overview
You can request a return within 30 days of delivery.
Our responsibility (damage, defect, wrong item): We cover return shipping and issue a prepaid label.
Your preference (change of mind/fit): You cover return shipping.
Refunds go back to the original payment method within 7 business days after we receive and inspect the item. For international orders in the covered regions, no re-import fee applies.
General Conditions for Returns
Product condition: Item must be new, unused, unassembled, and unaltered. Any sign of use (scratches, dents, stains, odors, pet hair, added hardware, drilled holes, touch-up finishes, or other modifications) voids eligibility.
Original packaging: Keep all factory packaging—foam blocks, corner guards, hardware packs, tools, manuals, and accessories. If you no longer have it, you are responsible for secure, equivalent repacking.
Proof of purchase: A valid order number or invoice is required.
Assembly status: Items that have been assembled, installed, glued, or leveled are not returnable unless Perlugap confirms a manufacturing defect or shipping damage.
Intended use: Our pieces are built from kiln-dried hardwoods for indoor residential/studio use.
Territorial scope: Conditions apply across the ten supported countries listed above.
Returns We Cover (Our Fault)
We’ll correct the issue if your furniture arrives damaged, contains a genuine manufacturing defect, or differs from the model/size/finish ordered.
- Transit damage examples: crushed corners, cracked tops, chipped finish.
- Manufacturing issues: misaligned joinery, panels outside flatness tolerances, unstable bases, or hardware that cannot be seated properly.
When Perlugap is at fault, return shipping is free (pickup arranged where available). You may choose a replacement (subject to stock/lead time) or a full refund. If you paid a shipping fee at checkout, we refund that fee in these cases. Remedies are the same in all covered countries.
Returns at Your Request (Change of Mind)
If the piece doesn’t fit your space, style, or finish, you may return it within 30 days if it remains unused, unassembled, and in original packaging.
- You are responsible for return freight; these costs are nonrefundable.
- After inspection confirms eligibility and completeness, we refund the product price.
- Any original outbound shipping (if charged) is not refunded for change-of-mind returns.
Items That Cannot Be Returned
Final sale/clearance items and gift cards (digital or physical).
Any item that has been used, assembled, installed, modified, or refinished.
Custom or made-to-order pieces (non-standard dimensions, custom edges, unique stains/finishes, inlays/carvings, non-standard base specs), unless damaged or defective on arrival.
How to Start a Return
Contact us within 30 days of delivery. Email [email protected] or use the Contact Us form with your order number and a brief description.
- For damage/defect claims, include clear photos or a short video of the affected areas and the packaging (inside and outside).
- We reply with next steps within 1–2 business days and include a prepaid label when the issue is ours.

Repack all components so tops and bases cannot shift. Use the original foam and corner guards. If the original carton is unavailable, use a heavy-duty box and adequate padding to prevent impact/abrasion.
Refund Timing and Method
After the return arrives and passes inspection, we process your refund within 7 business days to the original payment method (USD, including major cards and PayPal). Prefer store credit? Tell us when you initiate the return. Your bank or card issuer may take up to 7 additional business days to post funds.
Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees. If your return is eligible and passes inspection, you receive the refundable amount in full.
Order Processing and Shipping Times
Orders are typically prepared for shipment in 1–2 business days (Mon–Fri, excluding U.S. public holidays). Estimated transit times after dispatch:
- United States: ~5–6 business days
- Europe & United Kingdom (FR, DE, ES, IT, BE, PT): ~6–8 business days
- Canada & Australia: ~7–10 business days
